1. Does World Gift Card provide any sort of materials for in store marketing of gift cards?
- Yes, we do have foldable card hangers which the cards attach to without having to be removed for activation. They also include space for which to write 'To' and 'From' as well as the amount of the gift card.They may rest on an acrylic stand or hang for easier viewing. We also have simpler table tent that merchants can use to make their customers aware that gift cards are available. Click here to view some images of these materials.
2. How can I get a printable copy of the World Gift Card application?
- Click here to obtain a copy of the World Gift Card application and term and conditions for a new merchant signup.
3. Does World Gift Card support any POS systems?
- Currently we only support the EDirex POS system. We do however provide a PC-based application that can run along side the POS software that can process gift cards through the existing internet connection. The other alternative is to place a standalone terminal that will run our gift card application seperate from the POS system.
4. Can you convert an merchant with a previous gift card program to work with your system?
- In most cases we can do account conversions. In these situations we ask that couple of cards (used or not) from the previous provider be sent to us so that we may confirm that the printed and encoded number will be compatible with our system. If we find that they are not compatible then we can usually re-number and re-encode any unused card so that it will work with our system. Also, if there are cards with current outstanding balances on them then we will need a report listing the balances on the cards to be imported into our system. If this report is not in an electronic format then there will be an additional charge for the data entry.
5. My merchant is changing credit processors and/or terminal types. Can they continue to use the World Gift Card program?
Yes. Our program runs completely processor independant. As long as they have a compatible terminal that we can program with our application they are welcome to continue to use the World Gift Card program. Please contact us to do the download. And if they are changing their bank account information then we will need the new account information as well.
6. Can my merchants use the World Gift Card program in a website setting?
Yes. They will need to be signed up in our system and then can use our webservice to run transactions and check balances like they would on their terminal through a website. The webservice documentation can be found here. It does require some programming knowledge but should be fairly simple for any web developer writing in any language. World Gift Card is unable to provide any help in the actual programming of the merchants website.
